Villa Cherven

Pros: This is a wonderful place to stay. Set up high with amazing views and so peaceful and quiet. The bar is well stocked and the food was delicious. It was so relaxing sitting on the terrace and enjoying dinner in the restaurant. We were warmly welcomed by Milena and her mother and other family members who were all wonderful hosts.

Cons: The track leading up to the Villa was quite challenging in our hire car loaded with 4 passengers and luggage but we made it with very careful and slow driving. If you were staying for a few days and going up and down the track, a 4x4 would be far preferable.

Pros: Ideal for couples, families, or groups of friends. The hotel is situated in the middle of a forest. The last part of the road is a bit bumpy but you will get there without a scratch. There are trails through the mountain which you can explore, including peak Cherven and a waterfall Skoka. The staff are very friendly and the meals are home-cooked. After breakfast, we had the pleasure to try horse - riding which my son really loved. We will definitely come back!

Weekend getaway in Teteven area

Pros: We went there for a cold, rainy, misty weekend break. The location is beautiful and secluded in natural forrest with constant water sounds from the trout ponds. The family run establishment provided delicious home cooked food at very reasonable prices. The fireplace was on and provided warmth and cozy atmosphere. We could walk anywhere on the property and felt safe, while enjoying nature.

Cons: The mattresses are ok but not very comfortable. Everything else - just what one needs for a get away.

Fantastic nature in and out!

Pros: The location is amazing! Beautiful and calm! Our host - Milena was so helpful, kind and friendly! I would recommend and would be happy to come back again!

Pros: Excellent family-run villa! The location is gorgeous and serene. The room was spacious and clean with a breathtaking view of the Red rocks. The food was delicious, the staff was very kind and accommodating. Wonderful authentic people!

Great place which represents the beauty of the nature in a combination with delicious food and welcoming hosts.

Pros: The place is in the mountain which makes it very quiet and peaceful. The staff was wonderful and also very assistive. The bed was huge and the view from the room was more than brilliant.

Cons: The only thing which people have to have in mind is the road to the place. As soon as you head to the vila when you get out of the city there are approx 2 kilometers of unpaved road. Of course, driving to the place with a SUV or high suspension car is not a problem, but any low vehicles might have a problem.

Perfect mountain getaway

Pros: The breakfast was homemade and delicious! We had also our lunch and dinner there and they were also very delicious. The trout was exceptional. We were on a little hike on the was to mount Cherven and tasted the forest blackberries :) We were with two little kids and we're surprised that the toilet is equipped for kids. Also there were some coloured pencils and markers that our little boy enjoyed:) This cottage is highly recommended!

We keep congratulating ourselves for choosing this place to spend our night in Teteven.

Pros: Milena is an exceptional personality. We are glad to know such people (women) exist and happy to have met one!

Cons: The road to the property was a challenge.

Quiet and calm relaxation in the heart of the Mountains

Pros: Very nice villa far from the city, actually in the heart of the Mountain. Wild nature around, including lake, small river, beautiful nature. Fresh and delicious food in the local Restaurant, prepared in place and according to individual preferences. Very reasonable prices.

Cons: The road to the property is a bit scaring for first-time visitors, however the property offers transportation service from/to the City.

Very nice location and service, worth staying with the family.

Pros: Beautiful location, super friendly owner offering great food and service.
