One-of-a-kind authentic experience

Pros: Asgard is a literal piece of Heaven. We stopped here for two nights on our way to Greece and it barely felt like enough time to immerse in the peace and quiet of the place. The hosts were extremely friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The place is also very dog friendly - our dog loved bonding and playing with the host’s dogs, which were very well-behaved and sociable. We also took a 30-minute horse riding lesson and the hosts were very understanding with our complete lack of experience with horses. There is also a restaurant on site where they have a small, but fantastic selection of local dishes which they cook freshly, in-house for you. Nothing beats having breakfast or dinner with the stunning mountain views you get from Asgard! The final stretch of the road leading up to the place is a dirt road, but it is fairly well maintained - we had no issues going up and down with a regular car.

Outstanding views and peaceful spot

Pros: the host was wonderful. And the views were outstanding - just breathtaking. Our room was huge with a very comfortable bed. We enjoyed the dinner we ordered and in the morning the breakfast was perfect. The wonderful cook made us 2 espressos which were so good - we love our morning coffee!! and then a great breakfast to send us on our way. Highly recommend.

Cons: The road up was a bit iffy, we were not sure we were on the right road for a time - but the reward is the remarkable, peaceful spot once you arrive - Well worth it!!

Total escape from reality

Pros: We loved everything. The place, the peace, the host, the horses, the stunning view. Rosen and his family have created a small paradise and we totally felt in love with the place. Most of the furniture is handmade, in the house you have all you need. The breakfast was prepared by Baba Mara and it was simple and delicious. Don’t forget to order a glass of white wine(Sandanski Misket)

Cons: The very last 3km to Asgard are kind of tricky, but totally worth it. Once you get there, you will forget that small detail.

Pros: Outstanding view, great host and delicious food! Very friendly and cozy atmosphere!

Cons: The road to the house (~5 km from Sandanski) is very, very challenging!
