A peaceful and homely getaway

Pros: We had a wonderful time at this beautiful place. The peaceful surroundings, stunning views, and warm, attentive staff made it really special. The home-cooked meals were absolutely delicious—and everything just made us feel right at home. We hope to be back soon :)

Cozy and authentic house

Pros: We loved the place - the views over the mountain and the authentic vibe. The host was very kind to us and made us great “mekitzi” with home made jams for breakfast. He told us lots about the history and life in the village. We also visited the museum in the old school, which was set up with care and appreciation for the history of the area, so also highly recommended to see.

Cons: The blanket was too small for 2 people

Fantastic, magical, magnificent, humbling, awe inspiring.

Pros: Time travel without the negatives. This is the most beautiful place I’ve been in Bulgaria. In this house you are not just a paying customer. You come into the family of the hosts. You have a breakfast in their kitchen. Our girl played with their boys. We really felt welcomed. If you are thinking about it. Don’t. Just go and you will not regret it.

Would definitely recommend this place!

Pros: The communication with Yurdana was excellent. She speaks German and replied very quickly. She made sure that I get breakfast by calling the restaurant next door since she was not there at the moment. Apart from this the view out of the terrace is stunning!

Pros: The house was very clean and authentic. Location is excellent and the hosts were very welcoming and kind. They shared with us the history of the village and the house. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, made by the hosts with love and care. We tried several of their handmade berry’s jams and fruity refreshments along with the traditional yoghurt and cheeses. Overall, we had an amazing experience and time at Kanush Voivoda house, and Kovachevitsa!
