Great choice for Bansko
Pros: The hotel is absolutely amazing in all aspects. Close to the bars, right in the middle between the historic centre and the new part of the city where the new restaurants and bars are. Very clean, breakfast included and also free parking.

Spacious room
Pros: Very friendly owner who speaks some English. The rest of the family are very friendly too but do not speak English. The place is clean, the room we were given was at the corner, second floor very spacious, very long balcony with great views of the mountains and the city. The famed breakfast turned up to be pretty standard, no fried trout or anything like that. It was February though, the busiest period of the year. According to Ivan, the owner, the best period for skiing is march, because there are fewer people and it snows very hard starting the second week. The ski depot is good enough, and warm. Around 10 minutes from the gondola and 15 from the main square. The surroundings are cute, the main high street close.
Cons: Breakfast is theoretically from 7am, but more realistically from 7.20, which can't be a bit late. After all it is Bansko, so queuing is the real sport, if you want to get skiing Sound insulation is a bit lacking, so you might hear your neighbours and the singing from the nearby restaurant. The smell from fires and incinerator can be too strong and linger at night, but that's more a bansko problem, than something specific to the hotel

Pros: Very big room, with nice view High comfort level. Warm room with underfloor heating and radiators, very good shower pressure, HOT water. Very good parking spot. Breakfast is basic but plentiful. We liked it. We recommend eating dinner at the in house restaurant. It is very good and the prices are very reasonable. To start, you can try tripe soup, chicken liver, pork skewers, \
Cons: English level could be better. Same goes for the jacuzzi. It's there, it's big, it's hot, but that's about it. Not bubbly at all. Wife complained about the breakfast coffee: espresso and milk coffee. I tried the cappuccino and it was ok.

Pros: The owner was very friendly and accommodating, always ready to help out. Always with a smile. It's been a while since we got such service. I would come and stay again just because of him. Breakfast was tasty and different everyday.
Cons: The rooms could do with a renovation. The mattresses were hard.

Pros: I liked the fact that this family run house/hotel is really central close to the gondola about 10min walk. The view from the window was spectacular. I loved waking up every morning to see the mountain view. Breakfast every day different and was good. Restaurants so many nearby with good choices of food. Supermarkets and shops everywhere. Good spot for kids there are playgrounds near by. We really loved our stay at Gazei. Ivan the owner is so kind and he even gave us a ride to the bus station.
Cons: The WiFi was really bad in our room. It was so difficult to explain my 2 year old daughter why her tablet is not working properly.
