Serdika Old City House

Pros: Very nice looking house, clean room and easy access

Cons: Small bathroom, no separated shower

Everything that you need for a short solo stay

Pros: It was central. Communication was clear. It was warm.

Cons: Duvet and pillow weren’t good quality

Great place for a few days and remote work

Pros: The room I booked had more utilities than many other places I've stayed at. It had everything I needed for a stay of a few days where I had to work from there and I didn't want to eat out all the time. It was clean and cosy. The price was great as well!

Cons: The things I didn't like are not worth mentioning because you cannot expect the best of the best for the great price you are paying. I was happy with it.

Pros: I really enjoyed my stay at this small apartment. The location was superb and very convenient, and the place was clean and comfortable. The only downside was that there were no cups available for drinking coffee, which would have made the stay even better. Overall, still a great place with minor room for improvement.

Pros: Location is close to Serdika station and within walking distance to most of the sites in the city

Cons: The bathroom; is a bit drafty! The space could be managed better. The table in the dining space is a bit small for two persons to dine!

Pros: The location was great as well was checking-in was made convenient and very quick.

Cons: It was a bit tight and small. The building keeps cold. I had to turn on the heat in the night.

Serdika Old City House is very comfortable and good value for money.

Pros: Serdika Old City House is a beautiful building, constructed in 1911. The property was quiet and a few minutes walk from the historic parts of Sofia city. The apartment is comfortable and homely with all the usual facilities - hot water, WiFi, kitchen equipment, etc. etc.

Cons: Bathroom and kitchen provisions were slightly bare - it would have been great to have a few large coffee mugs! The number of television channels seemed somewhat limited from a foreigner's point of view. However, these are only minor criticisms.

An interesting city on the cultural border between East and West that has yet to truly take off...

Pros: We liked the location in the city, in a very popular and multi-ethnic neighborhood away from the city center. The house itself is very distinctive, located on a private lot and not visible from the street as is often the case. The building was recently renovated with attention to detail. The accommodation is small but functional and furnished with thoughtful touches and thoughtful details; the courtyard overlooks the neighboring homes, making the stay particularly authentic.

Cons: The lack of parking and the extreme difficulty in figuring out how to do it. Street parking is paid, but it's very complicated to figure out how to proceed. Important note (not necessarily negative): Credit cards are not widely used, and the € is not yet widely used (at least in popular, less touristy neighborhoods). It's best to ask before making purchases.
